Eddie Kaspbrak is the banker's son who can't keep his eyes off of Richie, looking through the window of the bank. When they meet, Eddie refuses to give Richie his name until he "earns it." So Richie vows to earn the window boy's name, no matter what. "Eddie could feel Richie's eyes burning holes in his back, but he didn't turn around, just tensed a bit. He wasn't sure why.
