Emiko had a troubled past, and present, to be honest. Her father was a Marine and had gone MIA when she was thirteen, and her mother had been basically unresponsive ever since. Accounting for herself was hard as a thirteen year old girl, even as a seventeen year old. Being completely alone in life was hard, but she managed. Will Luke break through both his and her awkwardness and walls and manage to get her to let him in? Or will they both end up broken hearted and going separate ways?
