I heard a noise upstairs.

"Hello? Chase? I'm home!" I heard a voice upstairs. I could tell Chase could hear it too.
"Who's that?" I asked, feeling the hair on the back of my neck rise as I started to panic.
"Don't worry," he soothed, "it's just my... girlfriend."
