Humans were sinning and being possesed by the Devil more and more every day. God needed a solution. He needed someone just as powerful as his only children at the time, the archangels, if not even stronger.
He used their powers to create a perfect mixture between all of them and so he had another child. That person was able to walk on earth without a vessel and she was powerful. He named her the Guardian archangel.
But something bad happened. Lucifer didn't want people to be protected. He thought of them as harmful and sinful so he was banished from heaven and tossed into hell.
Lucifer wasn't the guilty one and both God and his only daugter knew it, but he was still a danger.
If you think angels and archangels are the purest and most sinless creatures ever created, they're not.
Well, she isn't.

What if Charlie got worried about this? Alastor is still injured from his battle over one week later and his cane is still broken so his powers dwindled because of that. The large scratch from his fight will not heal due to it being from an angelic weapon by Adam, The First Man, so only another angel can heal it.
