This first book of the Sally Matikeen series follows the life of super powered Joe Sally Matikeen. Sally is a Sealed of Hades and a Sealed is a person who has the power and spirit of a mythological supernatural being or deity. She is basically like a demi-god only a bit different, with powers of Hades, the god of the underworld. With her elder brother Fred, also a Sealed of Hades, sister Amber, a dark witch of the underworld, and her best friends Chelsea Smith and Sonya Brith( sealeds of Poseidon and Athena respectively), she faces off vampire villains, escaped convicts of the underworld prison known as Tartarus, different types of witches and other mythical beings.
And in her normal life, at least as normal as it can get for her, she has to survive Natasha Ray(sealed of Zeus), her childhood nemesis and experience some romance in her social life.
So get ready to dive into a world of Greek mythology used in a way you have probably never seen before and experience this world where anything is possible.
One thing to keep in mind: Death is everywhere even in the least likely of places, and the gods always get what they want, right?
