Ugana is perfect.
Before, they said perfection didn't exist- that it was an unrealistic ideal. Humans were not perfect and never could be. They were wrong.
          Ugana is perfect.
But it wasn't always this way. Before the revolution, Ugana was known as the United States of America. It was a filthy, greedy, violent place. The citizens were ignorant and inhumane. People literally starved in the streets while others lived in giant fortresses with enough money to feed small countries. There were riots, drugs, gangs and death. So much death. If you were lucky enough to survive the economic and societal oppression and crime, you died from things like Cancer. Obesity. Heart Disease. There were people who could not read or write, who could not be responsible members of their societies because they were untrained- education was not provided for every citizen and those who were lucky enough to receive it, did so at a high cost, leaving them with immense debts. There was a shortage of doctors and healthcare was not readily provided.
And then there was the revolution.

This is a novel for the brokenhearted. For those who can't stand the state of the world: the division, the hate, the money-over-everything mentality, the relentless push for more, more, more. The story confronts harsh realities-our dying planet, oligarchy, struggles with suicidal thoughts. If these trigger you, proceed with care, but you might find unexpected solace in sharing this journey with others wrestling with the same awareness. Because while I write of darkness, I also write of love, friendship, and perseverance. We are all in this together... like it or not. I post 5 chapters every Friday. I look forward to your thoughts! Synopsis: In a world where compassion has become a liability, Dr. Noonie Reyes studies what remains of human connection from the sterile safety of her laboratory. In our near future of environmental chaos and societal collapse, the System-an oligarchy ruling through surveillance, manipulation, and the illusion of choice-has perfected humanity's slow emotional starvation amid the ruins of civilization. Beyond the walls lies the Waste: scorched landscapes, desperate survivors, and a truth the System cannot contain. When a mysterious contagion escapes from the lab, Noonie becomes patient zero for something unprecedented-the return of empathy. As the infection spreads, transforming a corporate politician in a public display that shocks the nation, the System's architects realize their control is threatened by something they never anticipated: feeling itself. While authorities scramble to quarantine compassion, Noonie's awakening draws her into an underground movement fighting for humanity's emotional resurrection. With each new connection, she uncovers the true price of isolation and the revolutionary power of remembering how to care. In this haunting debut that echoes Orwell and Atwood, one woman's contamination becomes an entire society's salvation, asking: What remains human in us when we've been engineered to feel nothing at all?

She was ordinary. Fragile. Timid. The kind of girl who flinched at loud voices, hid behind her hands, and spent her days wrapped in the comfort of quiet dreams and the gentle embrace of nature. Life was safe. Predictable. Until it wasn't. One night, everything shattered. A man with cold, unfeeling eyes and blood on his hands came for her. Dragged her from her bed at midnight. Pulled her into a world she didn't understand. A stranger, merciless and silent, became her captor. And he wouldn't explain why. He was everything she feared. Brutal. Unforgiving. Dark in a way that made the air around him feel sharp. He lived only for one person. His brother, a man who had lost an eye because of him, a debt he carried like a curse. And the reason she was here? That brother had seen her at a wedding. Whispers of desire had crossed the wrong ears, and in that instant, her life was stolen without question. She begged. Pleaded. Tried to understand. He remained cold, unyielding, untouchable. And in her confusion, she convinced herself of a story that wasn't true: that he must love her. That beneath the rough edges, the anger, the cruelty, there was a man capable of tenderness. She fell for him. Hopelessly. Recklessly. Entirely. She followed him, confessed to him, clung to the faintest glimpses of softness she thought she saw. Every protective gesture, every glance of anger, every violent act she witnessed, she misread them all as love. But she was wrong. She was never meant to be his. She was a gift. A possession to be delivered to someone else. And by the time the truth claws through her illusions, her heart has already been claimed by the wrong man. Two brothers. One woman. And in the shadowed corners of their world, where darkness is law and nightmares are real, the game of obsession, and forbidden love begins.

It's a modern slice of life narrative novel about lesbians trying to find true love or wanting to get back into the love game. Five of these lovely characters share their own little tales of how love changes them first go, or their first time in forever! Their perspectives on love as it takes effect either get sensual, dramatic, or to the extent of a slow burn, as they also deal with life's obstacles along the way and share a part in each other's stories. There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Will things get better or worse from here for these lovestruck lesbians as the story goes on? This is my first attempt at writing a longer story. Here are few things about this novelette: - A novelette stands between a short story and a novella (7, 500- 17,500 words). - This story is not edited, so expect mistakes. - The story has explicit and mature contents. - As part of my "trademark," the story deals with love and loss. Expect drama! - The story is written in a nonlinear way. - I almost forgot; this is a lesbian story. If in any way you find it disgusting, you're free to bounce, yo! (In Jesse Pinkman's voice) - This is fiction. Question me and I will put you in here just to kill you, Game of Thrones style. Lol - © ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Let's just support each other. Peace out! How does one make music using broken strings? Discover the powers and dangers of love in this mixture of clichés, realities, and fiction about love, loss, pain, depression, and survival. I have lived in a dark cage. I have torn every page. I have not known light; I think I lost my flight. Please come and rescue me; Whoever hears me! Help liberate this heart And show me love they call art.
