You think that being an immortal is the best thing ever? It's not. Supernaturals have a ruling system just as humans do; however, if the simplest of laws are broken, the consequence is almost always death.
Unfortunately for me and you, apparently, since you want to be an immortal or a hybrid too, a law that is absolute is that species must not mix, because when you are stronger than the manipulators, you cannot be controlled, so you must be destroyed.
Which is why I need to fight in a war to defend myself, but luckily, I have other supernaturals, who are tired of abuse and want to fight alongside me.
It gets difficult, though, because I thought I would have to get stronger and take them down. But it's more complicated and traumatic than that. No one told me that I would have to defeat all these ancient creatures or unravel all the secrets of the past.
I want nothing more than for me, the protagonist, to be in a story that is only hero versus the bad guy, but that's not the case.
I mean would you like to be a hero that has to fight multiple bad guys? Not only that, but you have to figure out who the enemy is.
That's not even all I have to deal with, either, because if I don't find or defeat all enemies quickly, humans and supernaturals will perish. And not only will they perish but...
