Shay Stuart was just a regular twenty year old girl, from a small town in Kentucky when following her dreams meant making the big move to New York City. She indulges in her passion of painting, though only on the side, while working odd jobs to try to make ends meet. Along the way she makes friends and acquaintances, but she never expected she'd find herself in a nightclub one night wound up in the arms of an apparent frat boy. After that night is long gone, Shay discovers she is pregnant. Panic is the only thing that consumes her, as she has no idea of anything about the man she slept with, not even his name. Her only thought is abortion might be her best option, though she needs to find the mystery man first.

When injury strikes him and he can no longer play, he continues to thrive his reputation of being a bad boy that parties and drinks too much. When he meets a girl in a nightclub, and sleeps with her, he has no regrets because quite frankly he doesn't have a full memory of that night. He figures it was just another night of his life, and moves on, having no idea that very night would come back into play soon.
