Avaline has died. She was shot point blank in the stomach and left to bleed to death. No way around that. What she didn't expect, aside from being shot, was to wake up with no memory of who she was or to see a strange man asking for her trust. The only reason she does: he's the only one who can actually see her.
Angel of Death, one of many, and he's been assigned to Avaline herself. At first, it appears to be a complete coincidence, soon enough that's found out to be quite wrong.
His own past comes back to bite them as he refuses to relive or fully accept the memories, his nutty family doesn't make her death any easier on them either.
Family feuds and death knocking at the door. Avaline has had a rough time of life and now death doesn't seem to be any kinder either.
