I have been Numb my entire life... Elyse has lived in the Compound, a facility that houses children deemed Numb, almost her entire life and it's been mostly uneventful. But lately something is starting to cause her peers to become unstable, violent and even die at an alarming rate. They can't do it alone though, with the Numb being monitored closely 24/7 and having no access to the outside world, but there's a light in the dark for them in the form of a Warden named Jet who is sympathetic to what is happening in the Compound.
