After high school, eighteen-year-old Patrick took up residence in the apartment above his parent's book store; the same bookstore he worked at. Angsty and tired of Chicago, he only agreed to work at the dull place to gather enough money to attend an out-of-state university. He craved excitement and something to save him from the bland life he lived. When strange killings occur around the city Patrick comes face to face with a vampire but this wasn't exactly the kind of excitement he had wished for. Note: Some parts of this story, such as the characters, are based on the 'A Little Less Sixteen Candles' video, but I put my own spin on the whole concept of the vampires and other certain details because I wanted to. He knows how to play, like, fifty instruments and he's been taking voice lessons to help with his already great voice. Though, there are a few problems. One of them being he gets stage fright easily, another being his parents are crazy religious and wouldn't approve of it. He mentioned it once and they sent him to a private lutheran school. Now, the only way he can come close to expressing himself is through praise band- even then he holds himself back to the point of sounding mediocre, but just good enough to be better than the other people that auditioned.
