A lock of curly hair hung over the front of his face and his sharp jaw was clenched as he stared straight at me, the faint smell of cigarette smoke and expensive cologne hitting my nostrils. His deep voice and the English accent struck a resonant chord with me but in the heat of the moment I couldn't make out where I had heard it before. Just as the sight of police and ambulance sirens flooded my vision, I turned to take one last glance at the car before it went up in flames, as I collapsed into the stranger's arms."
