Marie Devnner has never known a life out of the shadows; out of hiding. But a one-off encounter with a mugger threw her into the spotlight and into the path of a certain billionaire philanthropist and an observant redhead.
With a hazy past and powers that S.H.I.E.L.D. is dying to get its hands on, Marie is desperate to escape back to the streets and back to the safety of the shadows. But an ultimatum between life in prison (complete with electric-shock handcuffs) and becoming an agent doesn't leave her with much of a choice. Still, nothing could have prepared her for the wild roller-coaster that is the Avengers.
And she never expected the feeling of "home."
Maire has always been alone. But, maybe she doesn't have to be.
