Tara is on the run from a crime she did not commit. Her clan has turned its back on her and the Serpentes will stop at nothing to hunt her down-not even if their own king tells them not to. Tara doesn't have anyone or anything on her side, it seems. She learned the hard way that she can only trust one thing. Herself. But as she runs further, a Cobra always seems to be following behind her until she has no choice but to confront him. And the more she learns about him, the more she thinks she might not be completely alone.

Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi
