Emily Rose Winchester, mourning the death of her life-long best friend and girlfriend, is lost and in search of a sense of freedom. She leaves her newly found family in hopes of finding herself and some happiness. Looking for a place to stay, she ends up finding comfort with her friend and the Queen of Hell, Ailith. She spends her days helping Ailith rule Hell, hunting, and avoiding her family. 

Then, Emily sees Sam and Dean again, and everything changes. When they see her, they make her realize some things and talk some sense into her, and once again she runs off. Emily decides to hunts full time and makes a new friend on the way who isn't who she seems, all while searching for a sense of free will.

But if there's one thing she's learned, it's that even freedom has a price.
