PROLOGUE

The smell of sea salt engulfed my nose, my eyes were blurry from trying to see through the monster waves and rain, "Allura!" I turn to try and look at my father, "Allura, if we don't make it out of this, i want you to have this." He placed a large gold ring on my head, it was centered with a sky blue crystal, "I love you, Allura."

"Father we will get out of this! Altea will survive this storm!" Altea was the boat my father taught me how to sail with, the boat we were on. I look up at my father, I saw tear streaks as the boat shook.

After that I don't remember much.

All I remember after that is water surrounding me, I assumed I was sinking into the sea. I kept myself calm, knowing if I would get frantic I'll lose my breathe faster. I looked around the murky water, i saw broken pieces of once was Altea floating on the surface. My heart ached, my father is gone. I try swimming up, but the pressure of the waves keeps pushing me down. I start losing my breath.

Without trying, my throat makes a pained noise, that sounded like a low squeal. I don't remember anything else after that besides a shiny green color.
