He wishes they could be a team, but she seems to prefer going solo. Alex is overworked - he barely has time for anything. Recently a single dad, he's constantly at the office, working longer hours to support his seven kids. He's got Philip to help him out around the house and with the other kids, at least, but that doesn't make solitarily running a household that much easier.
