When a human commits suicide, this is regarded as a sin; the dead can no longer go to heaven, nor hell. Rather than being forced to wander between for eternity, the heavens give them a way to repent; to return to earth, and sow the souls of the freshly dead or dying. As a grim reaper. The price taken from them is their name, their age, and the memories of when they were alive. They stay the same, as people die and are born around them.
Death is considered a rebirth. Names are discarded, and reapers are rechristened using a rather convoluted rule. They are named after one of their key features. Our main character was feeling a little low, a little slack in the jaw; and, no offence intended, he became 'Horse-Face'.

Some chapters are longer than others, ranging from 500-2,500 words, so I hope that doesn't bother you. Though I don't feel it needs to be rated as mature, some characters do curse, and there are graphic scenes of death. This book also contains abuse; however, these scenes are not portrayed horrifically. or often. I do not think it is enough to extremely upset anyone, or make anyone uncomfortable. Depressed, bored and without hope, angels, and demons scatter into the universe to seek out new meaningful and rewarding prospects. Pyriel, a disgraced arch angel and Asmodeus, her contentious objector demon friend, discover a "grey" area that technically does not constitute as human interference or possession. Using their powers, they slip into, and re-animate deceased humans. They call them Meat Suits. They haunt the cities morgues, shopping for meat suits to use on their nightly pilgrimages in search of entertainment, good Whiskey, and biker gangs to annoy and terrorise. After one too many "Zombie" related incidents, management intervene. The duo are to be punished.
