Jenni Opal has been attending Beacon Academy for several months now. However at the end of her first year it is attacked by the White Fang and several strangers. One of them being her old friend Cinder Fall. During the attack Cinder is injured and Jenni decides to stay with her friend instead of being separated again. However what she doesn't realize is that this puts her into new danger as Jenni is now expected to fight for Cinder's master Salem. Stuck at a crossroads Jenni must make her choice as a war begins to unfold around her but how can she keep her and her friend safe?
