Mystery
Lauderdale Kane has always lived in the bad part of town. He has his close circle of friends, his dad, and that's all he's ever needed. Love was never important or necessary for him. He can't afford to not focus on money or taking care of his father. But then his life seems to spiral out of control: his father dies suddenly and the next day a new guy moves into the old, abandoned mansion next door, the one that Lauderdale's heard bad stories about. He shouldn't care, especially not when he's meant to be grieving, but he finds himself inexplicably drawn to the boy with the bluest eyes he's ever seen.

Raine Alder, a skilled assassin with no past, is a man who kills without hesitation. Cold, precise, and haunted by shadows, he takes on a mission to eliminate a dangerous cult leader. But when he infiltrates the organization, he meets Lucian Graves-the enigmatic, bloodstained ruler of the cult known as Black Veil. Lucian isn't just another target. He is terrifyingly beautiful, dangerously intelligent, and utterly obsessed with Raine from the moment he lays eyes on him. Instead of killing him, Lucian decides to claim him. Trapped in a mansion filled with horrors-where the walls bleed secrets and the servants whisper prayers to something far worse than gods-Raine finds himself tangled in a deadly game of power, lust, and madness. He should hate Lucian. He should kill him. But he doesn't. Lucian's darkness calls to him. His touch is both punishment and pleasure. His love is violent, possessive, and absolute. As enemies hunt them and the cult descends into chaos, Raine and Lucian must fight for survival. In the end, Raine will have to choose: escape Lucian's grasp or fall into his abyss forever. And Raine has never been one to run.
