As a little girl I grew up hardly knowing my Daddy. You'd hear Santa asking little girls and boys want for Christmas. A boy had once asked for new bike and you'd think that as a little girl I'd want a pony or the new doll like Barbie or Ken. But whenever a person asked what I wanted for Christmas all I'd ask for was that my Daddy would come home safely. I lived with my mum most of the time as my Daddy would always be deployed for long periods at a time serving and protecting our country as a high ranking soldier and helping those innocent people stuck in-between the wars going on in the world. At the age of 9 my Daddy had been serving in Afghanistan for 6 months until my mum walking into my class one morning.All Rights Reserved

Later that night, after the usual abuse, I silently packed my things when she was passed out.
