He wasn't excited to spend his summer in a washed up lake town. He planned to travel with his friends after graduation. That'd been the plan since freshman year. Only problem? His friends ditched him at the airport. So with no other choice, he moved with his family to a town where nothing exciting will ever happen. At least that's what he assumed.
Not even being there for a day, the Hasting siblings run into the town's most talked about friend group. Within ten minutes of their initial interaction, both he and Rachel are invited to the weekly bonfire at the lake, hosted by the local teens--a party that never gets busted or disturbed.
What he doesn't expect is to meet the mysterious twin of Shawn Thompson, who both he and his sister respectively assumed was a guy. Blake jumped into his life like a whirlwind of sarcastic comments, messy hair, a permanent sunscreen scent, fun-loving, happy girl who has her fair share of disappointment when it comes to family.
This isn't going to be the summer he assumed it would be, that became clear quite quickly.
