In the year 3020, Earth has been decimated for many decades. Humans have survived by building colonies on other planets or their moons. Some planets are hospitable, others require their inhabitants to stay inside due to "dangers". The first ever successful colony was Colony Pandora and for many years humans built more habitats for themselves, at some point it seemed as though they reached Utopia. Years later, it seems things have taken a turn for the worst.

The Day We Left Earth
If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape. Its calm blue oceans were replaced by big empty pits, and the green grass which used to cover our planet has now died, leaving all ground we tread on brown. The sun was getting too close to earth.
