In a world where magic is a rare and hidden power, a college student, Joshua Taylor finds himself with this ability. Not only can he use it, but he is a sorcerer, a class of magic user given the one or two people every century or so who is born with the ability to use magic. Through learning his abilities he quickly finds himself in a battle between wizards and warlocks, on the run from Mage Hunters, and just trying to find the stable ground that every college student lacks.
This is the story I use as a writing exercise, so if I keep pace with the thousand words a day, I should have two pages posted every day.
