"Within" The Walls Series

Seraton is a city that acts as safe haven from "the outside", and every resident is guaranteed an eternal life through advanced medicine. Avira Malone has lived in the city since she was born one hundred and nine years ago. She learns of untold evils when she inadvertently finds the scene of the "selection" of her lover Auras, and they ask her to become the next selector herself. She is repulsed at the prospect of assassinating members of her community as a means of population control, and devises a plan to kill someone else instead.
