"Can you believe that The Reapers own all of this now?" Bram asked from besides me, apparently having decided not to comment on my choice of meal - smart choice.
"How long before they start taxing us you think?" I asked, taking another drag before continuing to eat.
"I would be surprised if they wait till tomorrow." The Lower East End where I lived, used to belong to the Thorne Clan, since they were no more I guessed we now had to answer to The Reapers. The Thorne's had been assholes sure, but we had gotten used to it, I wasn't sure what this new change would bring, but I knew I wasn't looking forward to it.
