Sixteen year old, Sarah needs a job. When her dad makes her work to be a waitress, Sarah disagrees. Due to suffering with social anxiety, she finds it hard to work through the simple glances.
As if Sarah thought things couldn't get any worse, her best friend Jessi tries to get her a date to the winter dance. Sarah's anxiety begins to get worse, and her mom keeps trying to make her go back to therapy.
As Sarah tries to deal with the things on her plate, she's forced to work at a diner (by rules of her dad.) She ends up meeting a boy there who will change everything.
