Merle Dixon is pretty hard to get to. He'll never let anyone get in the way of what he wants, and he desperately wants to find his brother. But he's not in charge, the Governor is. And the Governor doesn't care about Daryl. All he cares about is Woodbury's future. So he forces Merle to mentor the new girl, intending for her to be as ruthless and loyal to him as Merle is. Needless to say, Merle isn't happy. But he'll play babysitter until he can find Daryl.
Doesn't mean he'll be good at it.
Ami's group abandoned her, and for three months, she's been fighting walkers alone. The only thing that has kept her alive this long is her incredible speed. When she stumbles upon Merle Dixon in Woodbury, she's not entirely glad with what she sees. It's clear to her that all he cares about besides himself, is his brother. She'll have to stick around for the search.
No one warned her it would be a wild ride.
It's an unlikely duo, but they may have more in common than you think.

"As long as you're in it, Wills, I've got the world already." | *𝐔𝚸𝐃𝚨𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝚱* | Willow never thought she'd belong to a group until those two men saved her ass in the alley. After being separated from her brother in the big city, it was up to her to get her daughter to safety- until a sheriff and a pizza delivery guy came along and saved them both. The dead owned the streets of Atlanta, pushing her new group further and further out. As they encounter deadly obstacles and power-hungry survivors, the numbers in her group begin to dwindle, and she finds herself holding on to these people more and more. The struggle to maintain the groups humanity is a constant battle, but as relationships form between these strangers turned family, they're willing to carry each other as they pave the way to a new world. There's no denying that Willow has a strong bond with the younger Dixon brother. It came as a shock to everyone. They are two drastically different people, yet somehow they understand each other the most. From the moment they met at the quarry camp on the outskirts of Atlanta, their friendship was off to a rocky start. They both had shadows from their past that haunted them, but as their relationship progressed, those shadows were diminished as the flame between them grew. | [ Daryl Dixon x OC ] [ Some smutty content ] [ Slow burn ] [ Episode by episode ] [ Seasons 1 - 11 ] [CONTAINS SOME ORIGINAL PLOTS] [ Started 11/25/22 ] [ Finished : ONGOING ] | * I do not own any of the characters or story line besides Willow and her story | Highest Ranks: #1 - TWD #1 - thewalkingdead #1 - daryldixon #1 - maggiegreene #1 - rickgrimes #1 - carlgrimes #1 - normanreedus #1 - daryl #1 - reedus #1 - carolpeletier

Rick Grimes was always there for Leona when she needed him so, upon hearing about his injuries resulting from a high-speed chase, she dropped everything to visit him in the hospital. Nothing else mattered - not her happiness, and certainly not her future as an artist states away. Her brother and his small family were the only people she had left in her life, and she'd be damned if she let something as trivial as the dead starting to rise stop her from keeping them safe. Daryl Dixon spent much of his life on his own, surviving off the good graces of strangers and stealing what he needed to survive until he could find odd jobs in different towns. His older brother, Merle had been a near-constant companion as he grew older, only left on his own when his brother found a woman he liked and ran off for a week or two. When the dead started to rise, he spent no time finding his brother, ditching the lady Merle had spent the past few days with, and taking off. Finding one another was nothing more than chance, and gaining one another's trust over time was no easy feat, but as it grows clearer that not just anyone can be trusted, Leona and Daryl find themselves staying together. For survival.
