Hearth, who is deaf and traumatized, has been conditioned to hate himself thanks to his abusive father.
Blitzen, who is innocent and hardworking, has to deal with the sudden loss of his father.
Both of them are in dire need of someone else to help ease their pain, so when they both unexpectedly meet in a forest one day, they have an instant connection.
Slowly, both males grow to love each other unconditionally, to the point where they would be lost without the other.
