"Do you really know what you're getting yourself into, sweetheart?" Mr. Levine asked leaning on my desk with his palms. Our faces were only inches apart, allowing me to smell the peppermint scented gum he chewed on. I nodded my head and released a shaky sigh. "Nervous already?" He asked touching my curled hair with his index finger. He flicked it out my eye then cuffed it behind my ear. "You are just so-" "Dad... step away from Jessabelle." Andy said walking in the classroom. Mr. Levine straightened then backed away. "I wasn't doing anything son, mind your Goddamn business and go home." Mr. Levine said inching closer to Andy. Andy looked at me then chuckled as he turned his attention back to his father. "... How can I when you're my ride home, Dumbass." He stated leaning against the white board.

"Now, now. With those tears, who could resist comforting you? Did you use this trick on Mr. Rathi?" He smirked, mockingly staring into my eyes. "In just 48 hours? You've sharpened your skills." I felt disgusted. He thinks so little of me. Yes, I made a mistake-a mistake I cannot erase-but it wasn't what he thought it was. As I wallowed in self-pity, his voice cut through my thoughts again. "You've just wasted 10 minutes in your little game. We'll extend the detention until 09:12, he said with a victorious smile. "But... I have an indoor class at 09:15," I tried to explain, but he cut me off. "You should have thought about that before playing your love games with your muse. This training academy isn't for faint hearted like you. It makes an officer from a citizen. You are not worthy of it and I will prove it." I was silent. I had no response. I would never be able to change his mind. There would never be a chance to clear this misunderstanding. It would never be enough to prove my innocence-that I didn't try to ... "10 rounds. You have until 09:12," his voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I nodded. I had no other option. As I jogged around the track, my mind drifted back to a time when things were different. When I was different. Six years ago... I saw him for the first time in the bustling corridors of the college campus. He was tall, confident, everything I wasn't. I remember the way he smiled at me, so effortlessly. It was the beginning of something, something I thought would last... But then everything changed. One mistake-one terrible misunderstanding-and he hated me for it. The warmth in his eyes turned to ice, and now, that ice was all I saw whenever he looked at me.

He yells in my face causing me to flinch back, a sob crawling up my throat as more tears fall from my eyes. I nod my head frantically. "Y-yes!" He lifts his hand up, I couldn't help but flinch back when the pad of his thumb came down on my cheek, wiping away the tears that wouldn't stop falling. "That's your boss? He's hot." "He's bipolar." "Introduce me, please!" Jasmin begs, weighing my shoulder down. "Isn't he the reason why you're going abroad?" "Eh." I shrug, watching as he hands someone his bags, laughing at something they say. This man is doing something to me. And it's strange. "Roni. I know you didn't get dressed that cute for no reason." She points to my outfit, raising an eyebrow at me. "I'm just comfortable. And he's coming over right now." Mr. Hayes strides towards us and I fix my posture, smiling at him. "Hello to your friend." Adrian waves as my friend begins to swoon. "Are you ready? You better not embarrass me, Roni-Ann." He holds his arm out for me and I take it, humming in response. "Yes, sir." ✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈« "You don't listen, Roni-Ann!" "Me? I do what you tell me. When have I ever went against you?" "Yesterday. I told you to stay inside. Or at least call me when you got home. You did neither!" Adrian yells at me and I flinch, not expecting it. "I don't have to take orders from you outside of this workplace. I'm my own individual." "You don't, huh?" He traps me between his body and the wall and I look up at him, his eyes darkening. "Joder, Roni-Ann." "Please calm down." "How does it feel to be a murderer..." He mutters, leaning down to kiss my ear and I tense up. "Because you're killing my heart." He doesn't think of me as- "I'm your intern, sir. This shouldn't be happening." I stutter, my legs too weak for me to move. "You're not thinking straight." "All interns get an upgrade, eventually. Yours just might make you mine."

Two broken souls in the midst of a crazy world. Two souls running away from their past. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was cracking, slowly closing in. When these two connect, as if they were set on the same path, light creeps in through the cracks, and for or a moment, the tunnel seems to have a way out, but what if it collapses before they make it? - "You saved my life." The words come out as a whisper, I've been dying to say that. I thank god every day that he came into my life when he did. "Fuck Vivian, you don't know how much I needed you." I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." He brings his hand, sticking his pinky out. "pinky promise."I wrap mine around his, placing a kiss on his lips. Warning before you read!! This is my first book! This book will contain topics of SA, eating disorders, and mature content, if any of these things may bother you in anyway, please scroll! I hope when I finish this book I can public a clean version, with a different perspective leaving out these topics, but for now, this is how i've envisioned this story to go! Enjoy -Ash🌸

"So what's your type?" "What do you mean?" I pause, looking up from my book to meet the eyes of my dear friend. "Type of what?" She shakes her head with a chuckle. Her head then jerks to her boyfriend, busy trying to figure out a solution in his work. "What type of guy do you like?" "I don't really have one." I reply. "Come on, there must be something a guy does that catches your attention." My eyes casually glance around the courtyard, trying to figure out a quick response to her question. But then I hear a voice speak just to the right of us, Professor Abel happily talking to Mr. Levine. "Well?" "Older." I mumble. "Someone older." "Just older?" His deep grey eyes soften slightly in the sunlight. "Someone... colder too." "So you want someone as bad as Professor Abel?" My friend jokes poking my side with her fingers. I snap my head back to her, surprised at her question. To brush off the embarrassment I shrug my shoulders, faking a smile but my heart is pounding furiously. "Haha, very funny." It's as if our conversation has been leaked when my eyes rest back on the tall individual. The grey swirls are staring right back at me, his colleague oblivious of his wandering eyes. His expression is stern but in the light it seems as though his lips are curled up, making my stomach do a flip. "My type." I whisper with a small smile. Seeing her come near, Sir Steven felt confused. He unintentionally stepped back and found himself bumping into the counter behind him. Eva couldn't help but grin, feeling some of the tension dissipate. Sir Steven joined in with a small chuckle. 'Have you had dinner?' Eva asked again, stopping in front of him. 'Yeah, I had dinner with my Professor.' Sir Steven replied in a soft voice, his eyes locked onto hers. 'Eva I' he started to say again when Eva moved closer to him and putting a finger on his lips gently, said, 'Shh. Don't say anything.' Sir Steven was left in a state of amazement, his heart pounding in his chest. He remembered the time he had confessed his feelings to Eva and gazed into her captivating eyes. He had said the same thing then. Her finger on his lips was enough to make his heart beat uncontrollably. 'I realized today, that I never responded to you when you told me about your feelings.' Eva said in a low voice to avoid waking anyone up. The lights in the kitchen were dim already, as Sir Steven had not turned on any extra light. Removing her finger from his lips, Eva placed her hands on the countertop behind Sir Steven. Standing on the tips of her toes, she leaned closer to his ear, and confessed, 'I love you too, Steven.' Sir Steven felt a jolt of electricity surge through him at her words. It was the first time Eva had taken his name, and it made his heart race. His breath quickened as he processed the powerful confession. As Eva began to straighten up, Sir Steven couldn't resist the overwhelming surge of emotion. He swiftly placed his hand on her back and gently pulled her back towards him. With his other hand, he tenderly grasped the nape of her neck and drew her closer, their lips meeting in a fervent kiss.
