The flare is an awful virus that has no cure. It's four stages and every stage is worst than the one before. It is a rare disease and a couple of people are immune to the virus. 

This is a story about Newt who is a flare victim and Thomas, who is a doctor. Will the two boys fight the virus or will the virus destroy them?

And the title is from the song Bleeding out by imagine dragons!All Rights Reserved

Bang! Bang! Bang! Shots rang through the air as Wicked attacked The Right Arm. "Go Newt! Run Thomas! I got you guys covered!" Minho yelled as Newt, Thomas and along with Frypan, Jorge and Brenda ran past him. As Minho reloaded the gun, bolts flew from his body as the grenade connected with his body. "Minho!" Thomas yelled as he ran from behind the barrel with Newt and Jorge trying to stop him. Minho was grabbed by the guards of Wicked and was being dragged away. Thomas ran towards them until Jorge grabbed him and pulled him back with the help of Newt. Thomas struggled to get free to save Minho. "Thomas stop. Thomas. Thomas!" It's a race against time as Thomas and his friends set off to find the cure for the flare. But they have to be quick or they could lose someone else. Newt is being strangled in its grasp, quickly taking him under and if Thomas and the other Gladers don't find the cure soon they could run the risk of losing him. Their friendship is put to the test as people make decisions against each other that may cost them their lives but the question is, was it worth it? This is the story of a boy, a boy named Newt. A boy originally from the British Isles, plunged on a journey across the Atlantic and into the hands of WICKED, an organisation with only one purpose - to save humanity. --- This book is completed, but beware, it's not fully edited (not even the edited chapters tbh). I wrote it quite a long time ago, and I might rewrite it at some point, but for now it is complete. Just saying :) --- I don't own most of the characters, or WICKED, or anything from the original book/movie. This is my version of Newt's backstory, in which he's originally called James.
