They aren't mates and they soon fine their own mates. They keep him hidden from the world and soon the insanity gets to their heads. They love him with all their hearts but their magic means more to them. Soon they start to think of him as the devil's child and try to kill him. He confides in his only friend, Andy. Andy is the only person he was able to talk to his whole life, besides his parents. The two escape into Dead man's land, territory owned by the Neutrals.
