Desperately Seeking Dad

"This." I held up the small rectangular envelope so Blake could see.

He took it from my fingers, examining it carefully before looking back up at me.
"And this is?" He questioned.

"This, is a letter from the one person who I loathe the most." I said turning and heading into the kitchen.

Blake got up from his spot on the couch and leaned against the kitchen doorframe.

"So, what are you going to do about this mysterious letter?" He asked in a hushed tone as he flicks the letter onto the kitchen table.

I spun on my heal to face him.

"I'm going to find him." I said with a mass of different emotions all lacing into my tone.

I look down, muttering to myself.

"I will find him.."
