One moment she had been watching Supernatural re-runs with her mama, but the next, she was staring at the corrugated metal roof of a warehouse feeling like she'd been attacked by a meatcleaver.
Twenty year old Grace Vega leads a relatively normal life, a life which she is extremely grateful for and enjoys to the fullest. She's a hard-working straight-A student and mythology geek, with a penchant for the 2000's TV shows that her mama had practically raised her on and a steady place in university.
Only one day, it is all ripped away from her, completely inexplainable. No memory, no home, no name. Only one word floats to her mind - Winchester.
With fragmented memories of her past resurfacing, and memories that are not quite hers for the future crossing her mind, all Grace knows is that she needs to find this 'Winchester'. A feeling tells her she knows him... yet she gets the feeling that she has never really met him before.
Time is running out and Grace has only so much luck before she will be swallowed by the insanity that threatens to wreck her.
And though she hardly knows it, it's only the beginning.

A nuclear explosion wipes out a small town in Indiana, which either kills, or rewrites the cells of anyone caught in it's range. Some people weren't able to handle it's affects, others have been changed. Everyone who survived was given a supernatural ability. Hallie Osborn was affected by the explosion, and was one of the few people her age who survived, and is taken into a hospital of sorts for people like her. Finn doesn't remember anything outside of the hospital, the first thing he could remember was the chemical tank. He's not sure why he's put in there so often, but isn't allowed to ask many questions. He's eventually introduced to the rest of the gifted, he explains to Hallie his time in isolation, not understanding how important he's become.
