One sunny day in California, a group of 46 high school students on a field trip venture into a cave that lies deep within one of the state's sprawling forests. What seems like a typical tour, however, quickly becomes anything but.
The students become trapped inside due to a cave-in, and when they manage to find their way out, the world that they emerge into is one entirely different than their own - a world that lies millions of years in the past, when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Told from the point of view of two students - Juliet and James - "Dawn of Blood" chronicles the lives of these teenagers as they fight to survive in a world where each day could easily be their last - a world where nothing as it as it seems.
