Has it ever crossed you mind that we never know the fates of the monsters after the barrier was destroyed? What happened to those who first went to the surface? And what of the others who were still Underground? And the souls of the other humans? And what if more humans fall down?
In UnderFate, all of these questions are answered.
Sans and Papyrus decided to stay in the Underground with a couple of other monsters for a couple of reasons. One, they wanted to help any more humans that fell down out of the Underground. And two, they wanted to bring their father W.D. Gaster back. But when a Flowey impostor appears out of nowhere and attacks an innocent human girl who falls into the underground, Sans and Papyrus realize their hands are fuller than they thought. Kiara isn't anything like the other humans, with magic of her own gifted to her by Gaster before her birth. Sans sees potential in her, but doesn't predict the sudden passion he starts to feel for her!
Will Kiara escape the Underground? What will happen between her and Sans? And what will happen to this Flowey? And, of course, will Gaster finally live once again?

Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth. Humans and monsters. At least, that's the story we all know. There was another race. Technically, they were monsters. Skeleton monsters to be exact. Humans shunned them because they were monsters. Monsters shunned them because humans had skeletons. In retaliation, the skeletons split into two different races. The Surface Skeletons and the Abyss Skeletons. The Surface Skeletons reaches out to both monsters and humans. However, when the war started, they were some of the first monsters attacked and many were killed when they fought with the other monsters. Only a handful were sealed underground but without the Sun to strengthen their bones, the skeletons suffered until they received anonymous help. Very few survived to this point and slowly, they died out. The Royal Scientist at the time and his wife tried to have children. Each time left them severely weakened. Each child dusted until the wife gave up her life to bring a great skeleton into the world. That child is the last of his kind. The Abyss Skeletons shunned all other monsters and humans, considered them all demons. Their society was alike human society long ago. Divided. They believe they are strong and emotions only weaken. The class system was rigid and they possessed a kill or be killed attitude to all other monsters and humans. They thrived underground and ended up building their society in the Underground's own Abyss. It is a shame that only their leader can reclaim their heir from the corruption caused by those demons. The Underground wasn't built in a day, but it fell in one. Monster after monster turned to dust as the Human fulfilled their bloodlust. From the weakest to the strongest, from the most kindhearted pacifists to the mightiest warriors, from the queen to the superstar. Beginning to end. But in the end, the only one left who could stop the Human was the one who had nothing left to fight for. Sans' victory was an empty one. His brother was dead. TORIEL was dead. Undyne was dead. Everyone he knew was dead. Alphys' story was a similar one. When the Underground was saved, she didn't see it that way. The Underground had lost it's spark when Mettaton fell, and she had lost hers when Undyne did. In the end, it was the two weakest monsters in the Underground who were left for each other.
