As Carina Wisteria prepares to enter her second year of college, her and her friends are overjoyed to hear that her loving boyfriend, Remington Leith and his band Palaye Royale have been discovered by a famous rock label and signed a record deal with them. In order to fulfill their goal, Palaye have to drop out of college and move to LA to start working on their first album. For the first time, Carina and Remington will be separated and they aren't prepared for what comes with a long-distance relationship.
They stay in touch through phone calls and postcards, but their hearts still ache for each other's presence as they continue to pursue their goals in life. Meanwhile, a boy she remembers from her childhood moves into the town to rekindle their friendship in hopes of making it into something more or becoming a part of her new life.
