Thorn's life is shaken up quite a bit when some dangerous animals who were involved in his dark past reappear in his life! Thorn is now in search of help, he desperately needs protection for himself and his fellow animals who are all now in danger. Eventually, he hears of an old tale about a magic flower that dwells near his forest. As quickly as he can, he seeks out this flower. Once he finally discovers the plant, he realizes that this flower, isn't just a flower, it is alive, able to speak, and has a massive knowledge of the world they live in. The flower eventually agrees to help the poor bird, but it comes at a cost. Due to trouble in this flower's past, her petals have slowly begun to wilt and blow away in the wind, and she needs all of them to be able to use her magic properly.
A deal is struck! Thorn will venture out into the vast world surrounding him, in search of this Flower's lost, magical petals.

This story begins in the year 2001, although maybe it started twenty six years before that when Alice was born. Or even before that when her parents met each other. You could say it probably started centuries ago when England was covered in thick oak woodland. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself or maybe behind, for now every story has to start somewhere. Alice is a slightly plump office worker. She lives in a shared flat in London with some other girls, who she hardly ever talks to as she is very shy. She is happy to finally be independent after leaving her mother's house. Her job is her life and she loves it. Next she plans to get a boyfriend and to lose a bit of weight, then her life will be perfect. Things seem to be going well on the surface. Unfortunately the dreams were getting worse, Alice just couldn't get any sleep. After taking yet another sick day, completely by accident! Excerpt only: I quickly run in their direction as my claws elongate into fierce points.
