Orphaned since birth, Raven lived in an overly plain setting, her days consumed by prissy ladies and manners at the dinner table. She expected to leave her boring and repetitive lifestyle the moment an opportunity arose - her mission of uncovering her background always at the back of her mind. What she didn't expect, was to be plucked from her small shared bedroom in the girls' home and flown across the sky, clinging to a shadow, of all things, for dear life. When said shadow gained depth and color, a handsome boy, who seemed to be in his element so high up, was revealed. Following this almost casual kidnapping, Raven finds herself thrown into a world of misshapen fairytales, where her surroundings consist of shapeshifting men, girls with magic hair, and flying boys seem to be the norm. As happy as Raven is to be free from her orderly life, the people in this new world know her. Not only that, they've been expecting her. When she hears about the prophecy supposedly revolving around her, Raven's world is flipped over again, and the adventure that follows is unlike anything she ever imagined.
