I'm testing my idea for an AU

Danny's friends weren't with him during the portal accident, so his parents were the ones to discover him and see him as a ghost. They cage him in the lab and experiment on him.
He hasn't met Vlad because of this. Meaning they aren't enemies and neither knows the other is a halfa. NO SHIPS.
This is strictly platonic in every way for all characters. I'm here to explore reasonable responses to alternate possibilities with some of my favorite characters. I'm basing characterization off of situations and experiences that happen, so characters will be out of character somewhat, but only because a different chain of events will be happening.

Danny Fenton was just a normal teen until he wasn't. Then he became Danny Phantom protecting both ghosts and humans in his little town. Always escaping the GIW while he does it. Until one day he's too slow. Until one day they catch him. Hydra finds out about the GIW and the creature they've caught and make a deal to take Phantom.
