12 year old Lyric Johnson is a like a slave in her household. She always cooks dinner, cleans, washes and folds laundry, washes the dishes, and does any other chore that needs to be done. On top of all of that, her dad abuses her whenever he gets drunk, which is almost every day. He became an alcoholic right after her mom divorced him when she was 8. She hasn't seen her since.

She doesn't have any friends, she has severe social anxiety, and suprisingly only has a mild case of depression. She gets bullied for liking Korean music and is the only person in her school who likes BTS.

When her idols come to her school to perform and help her school start teaching different Asian language classes, she's the only one who knows who they are. She's the only one who was yelling the fanchants, or even knew them.

On the way back to their hotel, BTS pass Lyric's house and see her dad push her onto the driveway. When he starts to kick her, Jungkook got out and brought her into their van to get her away from her abusive father. Forever.
