[COMPLETED] "Put it down, little girl. Pretty ladies like you shouldn't play with guns."

The light brown-eyed girl jokingly pondered for a moment. Then she stared at the man with a mischievous hint in her eyes and teasingly asked, "Who said I was playing?" She cocked the gun and pulled the trigger with ease.

~

A mysterious island appeared right in the middle of the ocean with an ominous-looking jungle in it. Rumor has it that there are treasures inside a cave that is within the jungle. Therefore, a competition has been announced that whoever can find the treasure first will win $5,000,000. Easy enough, right?

Or so they thought.

"I already killed your mother, Cam." As the words left my enemy's mouth like a mocking sneer, I growled under my breath at the mention of my old name. Memories started to boil up that I had been wanting to squash deep into my heart. Bad memories. "As you can guess, I'm here to finish the job." He continued with that ever-present sinister smirk on his face. And in that moment, a sudden burst of confidence just appeared within me. Or blatant stupidity. 'I'll take either one.' I silently admitted to myself. I rolled my eyes at his so-called 'threat', not really intimidated in the least. "Yeah, like that went so well the first time. The first time, you fucked up enough to get caught by the police." I pointed out. "The second time, your grown-ass men got their asses handed to them by two teenagers." I snorted at him. "Your odds aren't looking too good here, Berti." ~•~ Losing her father? Lovely. Getting in a car accident with her aunt, uncle, and cousin and being the sole survivor? Fantastic. Losing her mother because a deranged psychopath holds a grudge even better than The Grinch? Amazing. Being ostracized from her own family save from her paternal grandparents, and getting the blame for her mother's death? Cherry on top of the cake. Having to make sure three idiotic twats don't get themselves killed because they couldn't mind their own bloody business? Bloody hell, that's an entire ice cream cake with ten pounds of gummy bears. ~•~ Join Grace Stanton as she faces her demons and the demons of her past all while trying not to commit murder against her three new friends. Fun times. (First book in the Gilded series) ~•~ [#1 Streetracer - 4/21/21] [#1 Gangs - 9/16/21] [#1 Boxer - 9/12/21] [#1 Fighter - 12/11/21] [#2 Boxing - 9/3/21] [#1 Girlpower - 2/12/21]

"Her troubled eyes held fire. The kind of fire that was capable of burning me to ash." ***** I grabbed her chin with my free hand, making her look at me. "I hate that I don't know you. I hate not being a part of your life, like I was before." I leaned a little closer, as her intoxicating scent filled my lungs. "Trust me, I can't hate you, no matter how hard I tried." "So you have... " It came out as more of a question than a statement from her as she looked at me with her big blue eyes. "What?" I frowned, dropping my hand from her chin and grabbing her hand, instead. "You have tried hating me then?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. This time it sounded more like a statement than a question. "I have." I sighed, dropping my head in shame. "And it made me lose the most important person in my life." ***** One night. What harm can one night do? It can change lives. Turn best friends into enemies. Turn someone's life upside down. Emily Waters and Ryder Green, were inseparable, joint to the hip, always had each others back and loved each other behind the best friend facade. But one night changed it all. He thinks he has changed for worse but what he doesn't know is that Emily has changed for the worst. Three years later, what if the girl is back, with baggage that she doesn't think anyone could handle? What will happen when they meet? Will the sparks ignite again? A Rose to Change a Life

39 parts Complete

"Come here, pretty one. You do not have to be afraid of me." I huddled into a corner, making myself as small as humanly possible. Not everything is as rosy as it seems. Capture. Live. Repeat. When life awakens blocked memories, it's time to face your fears. Elva, a bold witty girl with an affinity for baking, needs a time-out, but what if her current time-out is just the beginning of a new game? In a world full of laughter, love and friends - she starts to question her memory and the persons she used to trust. Unbeknown that the evil past will soon catch up to her... How far will her past interfere with her current life? _______________ I wrote this in 2014, by now I would have done so much different -but still, I wanted to share my beginnings with you! It is written out of Elva's point of view, additionally two other character's train of thoughts are displayed to construct an all-around-insight. In general, it is a trip through one's owns memories, broken only by Elva's experiences and told in a refreshing mix of humor and reality. (and many cliches)
