Donn is a mage. A mage who also happens to be mute, that is. Donn's never been one for working with others or being social in general, but after hitting it off with a friendly tavern worker, he's about to have the most human interaction he's experienced in a long time.

Cortez is a thief. One who Donn's been having dreams about for a while, and one Donn doesn't trust. Cortez is on the run from the authorities, from a whole other country, and willing to deceive anyone in any way to get what he wants.

To save a friend who's been taken to prison in Cortez's place, the two have to team up to recuse them. It might be harder than either of them thought.

Donn doesn't want to befriend Cortez. It's the last thing he could ever wish for, really. But they're stuck with each other. And destiny might as well be destiny.All Rights Reserved
