This is a story about love, finding yourself, and oh so sweet revenge.
NOTE: so this is one of my first stories. The setting is kinda weird. It's set in medieval times and all that jaz but.... some of the outfits are from the 21st century as well as the way the characters talk, the technology.... I'll explain most everything when the time comes so, just roll with it.

Children of Adaygue Book 1: Mad World
Book One. It's a strange, even mad world indeed. A world where magic once long ago filled the air, and was felt within everything, until humanity explored it's potential for power, destruction, and war. And with it came the true nature of it: Chaos, the source of magic. It nearly ripped apart creation, and thus, some legendary hero took sealed it away to protect the creation from destruction- Adaygue, Great Mother to everyone. She became the deity to protect magic, and her followers called herself "Children of Adaygue". 3135 years later, after countless of wars, magic flickers and loses its meaning. But the people "blessed by Adaygue" face segregation, racism, and exploitation from the countries they live in. The story revolves around a group of people from all over the world: Madleine and Marik Winterfeldt, siblings by choice and Gene, a young noble living in the old Holy Empire of German Nation, a nation riddled with magical infested rifts as literal scars of war, and in continuesly danger of being at war again with it's powerful neigbour, The Holy French Empire of the Sun. On the other side of the planet, in the United Kingdom of America, magic abled people have more possibility to work with their "blessing", if it is viewed more useful. This means to fight against giant beasts from faultlines, that have strange connections to rifts. There is a band of people quite successful with it and one in particular is celebrated like a popstar: Hades, (self-declared) God of the Underworld, trying to survive a world where the only worth a person like him is how much money he generates for the large companies called "guilds". It's a world ruled by chaos. A mad world indeed.

She stuck her nose up in the air like a kid, making a small chuckle rise from my throat. I get up and tap the butt of my gun on her shoulder. She flinches a bit, struggling against the ropes binding her. "I'm in a bit of a pickle Em," I say slowly walking around to meet her face," you know you're the only one that can help me." Her hazel eyes shone with anger and pain. The pain I caused. I left her for a reason, now I'm dragging her back into my life. But I don't have a choice. Lexi has to find a way to complete the hardest, most emotional mission of her life whilst keeping the boys out of harm's way. Young love is cruel.
