Madeline Richards didn't like parties, loud noises, and people. She didn't like to meet new people. Though she could talk for hours it seemed, she couldn't enjoy things normal people seemed to enjoy. Colt Peterson had too many parties, some people said. Colt Peterson wasn't loud, but he sure had loud friends and loved being around others. He was more of a listener than a talker. He was different than normal people his age, though... similar in a lot of ways. Sometimes opposites collide. Other times opposites attract.

Aaliyah/ Liyah- She's fierce and sassy. Has all the confidence in the world. Biggest problem? Hates people. Has one friend who she barely talks to. She can't stand people at all; especially arrogant jerks. Elijah- Ignorant, troubled and doesn't talk to people. He's never seen with anyone besides his best friends Jonah, Ethan, Jackson, Jay, Xavier, Alex, Toni and not to mention Eric. Never gets anything because he's captain of the basketball team. Jonah- Stubborn, hot, troubled just like Elijah, player and annoying. Xavier- Younger brother of Jonah, less troubled and annoying, keeps to himself. Jackson- 'Too ripped to care about anyone' so Aaliyah says. He loves his work out set and anything to do with the gym. Jay and Eric- Fraternal twins. They have different fathers because his mom was cheating, but is now happily married to a new man who will probably leave with her money in about two months. She doesn't seem to mind. Alex and Toni- Sisters who grew up with these oh- so famous boys. They've been close for years and don't really talk to any other girls aside from one another. They're close in age and with each other. I guess you could say they're 'conjoined at the hip'. When these people come together due to an incident resulting in them being stuck in school for twelve hours one night what will happen after? Will they keep in contact? Amlyne had been fighting the feelings she felt for Jeffrey Alan or Jeff for 10 years. They met when she was 11 and he was 14. He had moved from Vermont to South Carolina. He was a chubby boy who wanted nothing more than to race cars. She was a be-speckled, mousy 11 year old who just tried to stay out of the way of bullies. The day they met something happened. They became as close as brother and sister. They ran and played, climbed trees, worked on cars, and read Race Car magazines. She looked up to him as the brother she never had. She taught him how to be a redneck Southerner and he taught her how to take care of herself. As time went by the feelings of friendship became more. For a while, it was difficult to be friends. JP got a little too into the Redneck life. He let people lead him down a dark path that Amlyne could not help him out of, or so she thought. He ran with a rough crowd that scared Amlyne. She not only had to fight her own feelings but also had to fight with her parents. They did not approve of JP. They saw him as bad influence and dangerous. So while Amlyne was still under 18, she had to do as she was told. All that was soon to change.Complete
