"It hurts too much," I whisper-cried as I fell on my knees, clenching my fist on the muddy floors of the cell.
I looked up and starred at the man I once called my mate. His once sparkly grey eyes were now void of emotion, barley recognizable.
My eyes became darker, harder looking, as I starred at him with as much hatred as I could muster.
A flicker of pain seeped through his eyes, before they turned hard again.
"If you escape, I WILL find you, and when I do, it won't be pretty." The brunette woman was standing next to him, tall and proud, staring at me, victory dancing in her beautiful brown eyes.
I didn't understand how the man I grew to love can betray me like this, and there I thought I was finally home.
A tear fell from my eye as I realized, once again, that I was alone.
