Alone the princess contained the calamity to the castle buying her knight, the hero chosen by the goddess Hylia, time to recover from his mortal wounds. For a hundred years the land of Hyrule was threatened by the great calamity, every year the princess seal weakened ever so slightly. After his awakening the former knight turned hero rushed from one end of Hyrule to the next making allies and defeating the calamity and it's servants. Hyrule is threatened once again by Zant and Ganondorf, newly crowned, Queen Zelda is on the verge of surrender, and Link, the hero from Ordon Village is called for aid. Upon arriving at Castle Town, Link is immediately overwhelmed by the forces of monsters that have forced the townsfolk into hiding. He realizes that he will not defeat Hyrule's foes without help so he sets off for Kakariko Village to find allies. Y/n, a girl who lives in Kakariko Village was not well accepted in the village. You are an outsider, no one knows where you came from. Protecting those around you became something you dedicated yourself to. You trained yourself to fight in the graveyard for days until your body gave out and you'd start again. One day, Link finds you battling a lone goblin that has infiltrated the village by yourself. Impressed by your natural skill, he brings you along to gather more allies from all other villages. Overcome with grief, he sets out to seek a legendary power, one he believes will guarantee Hyrule's victory...and his revenge. But will he lose himself in the process? Author's note: This story takes place during Tears of the Kingdom, right after Link discovers the last of the dragon tears. It combines elements from that story, in addition to some of my other favorite Legend of Zelda games. Though I generally try to stay true to lore, at times I made adjustments to help things flow.
