~~"Please," Ruby managed. "We can just... stay calm an-and talk about this, right?" She relaxed a bit and allowed a weak smile, raising her gem hand cautiously. "Let's just... talk."
"Talk about what?" Sapphire snarled, a stream of tears making their way down her face. "How our relationship is based on a lie?" She wasn't going to fall apart. Not yet.
"What else is there to say?" she whispered through a tear-streaked face, and she was gone with a flash of light and the familiar sound of a warp pad.

Ruby sunk to the ground in defeat.~~

This is a recreation of sorts, a small anthology of detailed stories I've managed to compile from my writing practice that I want to share :) .
