Eddie and Irene have been best friends since they were children. The two of them grew up together and know every single detail about the other. They have always been there for eachother until one day Irene wasn't, and she wasn't ever again.
Eddie is now in college and working multiple jobs to keep him and his younger sister afloat. He struggles to maintain steady income and provide a healthy life. Eddie struggles with making friends, and hasn't ever found someone like Irene again. When Eddie is finally comfortable in life and isn't thinking about her everyday, a reunion rocks his boat. It isn't until he sees the familiar old friend that he realizes all he's lost.
