The next day, the numbers multiplied and now they were everywhere, showing themselves next to different men and I didn't know what to do or what to think of such a strange apparition.

This novelita follows the inner feelings of a young writer who is experiencing love in a different light for the first time. This is accomplished through a series of letters written to 'Love' by the writer (the main character, I suppose). 'Love' in this context has been personified by the writer and is the "person" that is being written to. The first segment of letters will unravel what this writer feels love is supposed to be; how it's supposed to feel, look, sound, etc. As the letters progress the writer will encounter a series of different potential 'Loves' all of the ups and downs of new sparks and different relationships or potential relationships will be documented in these letters by the writer. The writer will discover that love isn't all that the media makes it out to be, there is excitement and fireworks but they aren't 'grand'. In the final segment of letters 'My Love' is declared and the recipient will then be a person rather than a personified feeling. 'My Love' is one of the potential relationships introduced previously. The goal of this novelita is to capture what it is like to fall in love as a young person. These letters capture how the writer thinks love should be experienced. Throughout these letters the writer is typically in tune emotionally as well as spiritually. Creating a different and more personal experience, after all they are personal letters.

I wrote this to make El Oasis make sense in my own head, because while the Zurena interactions were on point, the story-line was total crap. I'd prefer not to give too much away here, but I understand that people like to know what they are getting themselves into, especially given the length of this work. So I will say this... This is written as a sort of stream-of-consciousness piece that takes a dive into Zulema's psyche as she navigates a meaningful day and reflects on herself and her relationship with Maca. It's written from Zulema's perspective, and truthfully second-person usually isn't my favorite, but it just felt right for this story. So for those of you who find that approach awkward, I hope you will still give it a chance. This is the first fic I have ever written, so feedback is truly appreciated. And since I couldn't get the d@mned Dedication option to work, I will add that here as well- This fic is dedicated to my little fried shrimp who inspired me to write it, encouraged me to publish it, helped me with the Spanish bits, acted as the world's greatest sounding board, and without whom it would not have ever happened. Friends don't do this. We held eye contact for a long time before I couldn't take it anymore and just closed my eyes. It wasn't real, she was just my friend. Then, I felt her tuck a strand of my curly hair behind my ear. That with the chill of the night sent shivers down my spine and a swarm of butterflies attacked my stomach. I reopened my eyes. If she didn't want me, why did she look at me that way? I held her hand and I held it for so long because I didn't know if we'd have another moment like this. We talk and laugh and she tells me I'm pretty and I ask her if she'd just noticed that and we laugh again. I realize the feelings I felt in that moment were not just the intense feelings of attraction that I felt every time I was with her. Warmth flooded to my face and if it wasn't for my dark complexion, my blush would be noticeable. I look into her dark-colored eyes and I come to the conclusion that I'm royally fucked and I'm probably also in love.

"Fuck! my drugs!" the other demon shouted then and grabbed it's crushed bag of...well what ever it was. It pouted and looked around it's eye's landed on me. I was longing for something too fragile, gentle, delicate knowing that it can get broken by being with me.
